WHO WE ARE

Rooftop Musical Society is a musical theater company who started on a Brooklyn rooftop in 2018 and since aim to provide a unique theatrical experience to New Yorkers through performances in non-traditional spaces (which is not always rooftops!). Whether it's a classic musical, a themed street performance, or a cabaret, we strive to entertain our audience through immersive elements, first-rate musicianship, raw storytelling, and unique locations.

Rooftop Musical Society is helping our upstate sister company Stage & Sips with an immersive Moulin Rouge Cabaret and Cinema Experience

SUNDAY MARCH 29th, 2026

For one special evening, The Grand transforms into bohemian Paris for an immersive cabaret experience inspired by the spirit of the Moulin Rouge, followed by a screening of the film MOULIN ROUGE (2001)!

Doors open at 5PM. From the moment you enter, Paris comes alive … accordions sighing, singers crooning, dancers circling, poets whispering, artists sketching in the shadows.

At 5:30PM, the cabaret ignites.

French drinking songs. Impromptu poetry readings. Jealousy. Tango. Can-can. All your favorite stars of the 1890s. Then right as the cabaret reaches its peak, it spills seamlessly into an absinthe- fueled screening of MOULIN ROUGE.

Arrive early. Claim your table. Sip from the Green Fairy. Let the bohemians take good care of you. 🧚🏻

What a party, what a night!

From April 26-May 4th, guests filed into our secret speakeasy 62 Orchard for a wild musical romp - Andrew Lippa’s The Wild Party presented in an immersive theater in the round style performance! We are thrilled to have sold out our entire run of seven performances and are extremely proud of the hard work that the cast and crew put into this production.
